FTVs included:

Dude Bro Party Massacre III (2015) - Even though there isn't a part 1 or 2. This movie has a lot of slasher cliches, and recapping the previous movies is one of them. Ah, the good old days... While the movie is very fun, it does go too far with the stupidity sometimes to keep it from being a legit horror movie (and not just a parody). I loved the shot of the beerkeg in the darkness with fog around it. That sold me.

Offspring (2009) - Small coastal town is terrorized by a savage primitive tribe that breaks into places and eats people. Great and nasty gore, engaging plot... I liked it.

Dagon (2001) - Nice underseen Stuart Gordon movie. This one is all about that sea imagery and creatures, and weirdness.

Pumpkinhead II: Blood Wings - Typical DTV sequel to the original. The creature looks a little cheesy, but it's alright. Has Andrew Robinson from Hellraiser/Dirty-Harry as the sheriff who tries to solve the mystery of the recent killings caused by some dumb teens who cause the need for some vengeance. Kane Hodder cameo too.

Trick or Treat (1986) - Cheesy 80s high school horror where a metalhead gets bullied and seeks revenge from the ghost of his recently deceased rock star idol, who's as cliche and glam as it gets. He'd probably be considered hardcore back then, but he's definitely a joke now. People would laugh at him. emoticon Kinda like Shocker/Freddy in some ways. Ozzy Osbourne and Gene Simmons cameo.

Creep (2014) - People be raving about the recent sequel Creep 2, so I bit the bullet and watched it. Didn't resonate with me. I don't see what the big deal is. Someone, explain it to me.

Then, I had the pleasure of watching The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974) at my theater. It was a pretty small crowd. A Mexican family came in all happy, like they were about to watch a family movie. The movie is tame by today's standards, but even back then, Tobe Hooper allegedly tried to get the movie made with a PG rating. Not sure if that's a joke or not. It was a fun experience though, and I noticed a few more things that I somehow missed the first few times around:

- The Hitchhiker's necklace pouch is a goddamn fried chicken! Maybe the copies I viewed were too low-def to make it out, but lol either way.

- The dimwit at the gas station kept going back to wash the windows. Again, how did I miss that?! emoticon I also love the 2x4 on the table, with chicken feet on the bottom and a chicken head on top.

You... you damn fool! LOok what you did to the door!

I don't buy a lot of movies anymore, but the Nightmare on Elm Street series was on sale at Amazon for twenty dollars and I couldn't resist. It's been a while since I watched them actually.
