Bought the new 7-movie Chucky set and Midnight Movies Vol. 3 Action Triple Feature (The Big Racket, The Heroin Busters, and Street Law). Just waiting for them to arrive. Also pre-ordered Scream Factory's Land of the Dead and Dawn of the Dead ('04).
Not watched anything outside of horror for the challenge.
I pre-ordered Kill Baby Kill too. Forgot about that. I've wanted a decent release of that for a long time. I probably ought to be getting Don't Torture a Duckling too, since I like the movie.

I have watched a handful of Horror movies for October :
Valentine (2001) - Trash
Lake Mungo (2008) - Surprisingly good, one that i will definitely be rewatching
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974) - Very enjoyable
KM 31: Kilรณmetro 31 (2006) - It was ok
The Thing (1982) - Very enjoyable
Livid (2011) - Mostly enjoyable
Stigmata (1999) - Bored me to death
The Exorcism of Emily Rose (2005) - Great watch, highly enjoyable
A Tale of Two Sisters (2003) - The best watch of the week, outstanding
Cult of Chucky - A fun sequel on par with the previous film (which was better than the last few). The pacing goes off the deep end and the climax feels rather rushed and inconclusive.
The Bye Bye Man - Like OP yakko said, it's not terrible, but it ends on a pretty underwhelming note. It's an okay concept, but it could've been done better (or not at all). The bye-bye man himself isn't really a character, but rather an entity of sorts. They only show "him" when stuff is about to happen, but "he" never actually interacts with anyone. He's mostly there just as a visual, I guess.
Firestarter - Government agents chase a father and daughter with supernatural powers, and even though it has George C. Scott, it only ends up being okay at best.
The Autopsy of Jane Doe - I very much enjoyed this somewhat slow-burner, due to the great Brian Cox. Also, the hot chick did a great job at playing a corpse, and not moving at all during the entire movie.
Sharknado 5: Global Swarming - These sequels are getting increasingly more stupid. They used to be kinda fun, but now, it all just seems like some crazy bullshit.
Amityville: The Awakening - A decent meta-sequel that probably could've been better, but it's far from the worst that the franchise has to offer.
NOT A MOVIE, but I also completed the Mr. Mercedes tv series, which isn't exactly like your typical Stephen King story. It's more of a crime/drama, but it gets pretty interesting toward the end, and I liked all the characters. Even that evil fuck, Mr. Mercedes himself. Apparently, Anton Yelchin was supposed to play the bad guy before he passed away. He'd be alright, but the current guy fit the bill pretty well.
Not watched anything outside of horror for the challenge.
