It seems like I just did this the other day but another week is over.

Surprisingly I got the Beyond the Darkness Blu-ray Friday even though it was backordered. I was prepared for a long wait. So that's the only movie I've had time for this week.

It was disappointing. I'd never heard of it until just a few weeks ago but I'm guessing it's one most people like. Based on what I read about it I was probably expecting way too much.

Sorry you didn't care for it... sometimes the hype does the film in...

I liked some things about it. It just wasn't as over the top in the sex department as I thought it might be. And the ending seemed rushed and didn't make a lot of sense.

Fair enough. On the ending, I'd truthfully have to rewatch it since it's been several years...

I seen it last night, I konw you are not a fan, Tabula., but I thought it was quite good, even thou story was far-fetched. It wasn't anything special, but it was OK. I don't watch a awful lot of found-footage movies, but if I did I would probably find it generic, if that makes sense emoticon

Hangamn was a strange one for me, i like the writer & directors other work such as Broken & Devil's chair, and even Blood River was ok. They're all low budget jobs, but Hangman was a little too boring and genric for a venture into FF/creeper territory and didnt create any interst into the family who were being terrorised.

I can definitely understand how it could be considered boring, and I agree that there wasn't much character development going on. I don't why I liked it. Maybe, I need to see more FF, to better crystallize my taste of the sub-genre.

I watched no outright horrors, but the mini-series 11.22.63 is worth noting because it's based on the novel by Stephen King and it is very well done. One of the better King mini-series, with moments that may even improve on the novel.

No purchases, but Sheena:Queen of the Jungle complete set (movies and TV) is on the way.
