Have you seen Voices? (the film he did just before this one). It's quite good if you can get a copy . Its source material is the same for The Others (2001).

Ah, okay... that makes sense. I have a vague memory of turning off sawtooth after about 15 minutes. My patience for tripe is moderately low these days.

Do they remove streaming if the movie gets enough bad reviews? I don't use that feature so I'm not that familiar with it.

I think it was a Prime vid at some point... don't think I paid. I don't use that feature all that much either really, but they did have a pretty good selection of free stuff a few months ago.
