He did a bunch of good sleaze in the 70s and 80s, like the surprisingly decent killer baby trilogy It's Alive, the Maniac Cop trilogy (writer), and The Stuff. Are you eating it, or is it eating you?

I want to see more of his movies. He had a bunch, and they had good casts of b-movie regulars like Michael Moriarty and Fred Williamson. He did a few good collaborations with William Lustig, too.

Lost another good one. RIP

emoticonemoticonemoticon RIP. Definitely a huge bummer. I have watched The Stuff in the last couple of years or so, it is absolutely time to watch it again. Maybe some Maniac Cop too. I bet Bruce Campbell will have a few things to say on social media.

Agree he was the bomb... one of my favorites. Tonight I rewatch either Q or Bone. His two best imho... RIP, Cohen.

You've got to see both stat, Box. Bone, in particular is way underrated imho and contains one of Yaphet Kotto's best performances. It's not horror though...

Horror or not, Yaphet Kotto ought to be enough! Cohen may not have always done horror, but he stayed somewhat close to the genre.

R.I.P.

I do wish I liked his movies more, though. Q is pretty cool with its mixture of genres and old school NY locales.
