I'm sort of half-watching American Gods right now, and I keep thinking of Dogma. They have a lot of the action set in Wisconsin in this new episode. I remember they had some Wisconsin jokes in Dogma... I think Matt Damon and Ben Affleck had been sent there by God, and chose to bring on the Apocalypse rather than stay there any longer. Something like that.

I always liked Mallrats a lot. Maybe I'll see Captain Marvel if they refer to it. People talk about how Mallrats was ruined by Hollywood getting involved, etc, but as long as it's all Kevin Smith dialog that doesn't even matter. I always thought that movie was one of Jason Lee's finest hours. He was so funny as Brodie.

What the hell is Moose Jaws?? I'm gonna have to do some googling, apparently.

It goes "Tusk", "Yoga Hosers", and then "Moose Jaws". That's Kevin Smith's intended finale to his canuxploitation trilogy, which he describes as "Like Jaws, but with a moose". It's supposed to be set in the woods, probably a camp slasher of sorts, featuring Jay & Silent Bob, Johnny Depp's character from Tusk and Yoga Hosers, and a killer moose that ends up fighting the walrus from Tusk. If that doesn't sell you, I don't know what will.

I liked Red State and Tusk but I couldn't make it through Yoga Hosers, I bailed somewhere half way in. He made some pretty bad "Hollywood" films after Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back which I find to probably be his funniest film along with Mallrats, those 2 have the most rewatch value imo.
