The latest episode of Twin Peaks featured the archive footage of David Bowie's character "Philip Jeffires" in the '92 film prequel. I just read that David Bowie was supposed to have a part on this revival show, but he perished beforehand. I'd also read that after Fire Walk with Me, they were hoping to get about 3 more movies, one of the movies would have been about his character).

He died well over a year ago, but I'm still pretty heartbroken about Bowie. I loved that guy...

I always felt his role in FWwM was pretty pointless. At least they're expanding his character history in this season, not that it matters at this point.

Yeah, it was a good one. His character came back, but only as a disembodied voice. I'm guessing it wasn't Bowie's actual voice, as anyone can do that southern-type accent he had in the movie. Too bad he couldn't be around to star in this series. This season has a lot of recurring actors who recently passed on, like Bowie, Log Lady, Dr. Hayworth, Miguel Ferrer... it's sad, but it's also bad-ass that they got to be in it before they croaked. (Except Bowie, just archive footage)
