As much as I love the old Disney classics, it is an evil company. At least Michael Eisner is gone.

I used to love their Marvel output, which is still pretty decent, but they still play it safe. I much prefer the netflix Marvel stuff to the movies, because there's a lot less CGI, and much more blood and plenty of kills. However, maybe Disney is still the one insisting that netflix doesn't let anyone swear. They'll fuck and stab the shit out of each other and rip people's heads off with car doors, but they still saying "effed" instead of "fucked".

Yeah, I'm no fan of Disney... never have been really. As a kid I wasn't even a huge fan except for maybe 1 or 2 films.
Disney can suck it as far as I'm concerned... suck it from the grave!

I just saw that Disney is getting sued over using someone's idea for Zootopia. I can't remember who it was, but I remember the name was familiar. Anyways I doubt it will go through. Disney is evil and they are all about money. Now they are taking their cartoons and making them live action. I like a lot of their cartoons because I grew up with them. But nothing they do would surprise me.

These live action remakes are ridiculous... I've read they are even doing The Lion King. I don't know how the hell they are going to get that to work.

Isn't there 3 live action versions of The Jungle Book now? I have zero interest in any of them, but the animated one is a favorite of mine.

True. Their Marvel dvds are still $15 here in the states. I never buy dvds for more than $5.

They are bloodsuckers especially to parents with little kids who are forced to buy their DVD's with all those extras that they probably won't watch anyway.

They released it on laserdisc in japan which is how i finally got to see it. Apparently the possibility to make some moolah off it overseas cancelled out the PC objections.

They are definelty greedy fucks but I love tons of the movies that are released through them and I enjoy their theme parks. I have a family member that works for them as well and they seem to be a decent company to work for at least. I know she gets to see a lot of their movies before they come out. It is pretty ridiculous that they would care if cinema employees are watching the films for free.

They are one of the worst of the big greedy evil corporations, apparently the ol wife beating bigot Walt was Frozen just in case some future God Princess can kiss him awake like some sleeping snowman...

Not suprised the stingy gits charge cinema employees, as mentioned by others thier merch is always so expensive. They take advantage of children & grown women (n some men!) who otherwise are intelligent & sane, but for some reason are obsessed with Disney. And it's thier idiot husbands who have to fork over ridiculous dolla every Christmas n birthday for some overpriced stuffed toy slippers or some other tat.

Anyway, one thing did suprise me - 'Life Animated' is a documentary that came out last year about an autistic boy who didn't speak, all he did was watch Disney movies over & over again. Anyway one day his dad started quoting Aladdin in character & his son responded, over the years he begabn communicating, but solely in quotes from Disney.

With Disney's reputation the filmmakers never thought they'd get the rights to show clips etc, but when the father gave a presentation to a room of hardened lawyers, some were reduced to tears & they happly said 'yes'. Probably just realised it was good publicity, Disney woulda been the media villain had they refused.
