Robert Crumb. Also I saw an excellent documentary on him- his whole family is crazy- he is the most normal member of his family and he's demented. Sadly, his brother committed suicide shortly after the documentary aired.

I hate comics. I hate comic movies. I generally don't like people who like comics but I have met deep and intelligent people who like DC/Vertigo and indie shit. I just think I hate Heroes and superheroes in general.

You hate heroes, huh? What about the Punisher? He just kills fuckin' anybody who gets in his way. I can agree that their morals can get in the way with the story, because I'm watching CW's Arrow, and it's kind of bullshit. She's like, "you kill people!" and he's like "only if there is no other choice"... yet I'm watching him kill random henchman for the hell of it. He could've easily just knocked them out. Then again, I can just blame the writers for that.

Comic storylines can be damn interesting, but they have to go through a lot of subpar storylines to get there and make them shine. The Marvel movies are fun, but they do play it too safe, I think. They cater to children fanbases, and I can't blame them. I work at a damn movie theater and those movies sell.

You should check out Deadpool if you hate superhero shit. It's kind of a parody, since the genre is so saturated now, and it's violent as fuck and hilarious.

The Punisher is cool, I read it when I was younger. I still have those issues at my house. I was really excited for the Dolph Lundgren punisher movie in 1989 and it was bad, I hated the 2004 Punisher, I thought War Zone was ok. I think The Purge Anarchy was closer to a Punisher movie. I heard that the Punisher on the Daredevil TV show is really good.

This is nit picky but taking serious actors or actresses that play in serious roles and throwing them in a SuperHero movie is crossing the line. I can't look at someone the same way if they play in a "super hero in tights" film.

A real hater of comics, huh? Even horror comcis like The Walking Dead and Tales from the Crypt, or just ones with superheroes? If so, it's understandable. They don't appeal to everyone. I feel the same way about anime myself. So many people love anime and are obsessed with it, but I mainly loathe it.

Huge DC fan, but I like the Marvel movies.
I haven't bought an issue in a decade but have some trade paperbacks.

Love the use of Hendrix's "All Along the Watchtower" in Watchmen, as Nite Owl and Rorscach are flying in Archie over the Antarctic to confront Veidt.

I've watched random epis of Arrow and The Flash. I was shocked as he'll, pleased too, to see Wild Dog in Arrow. He's a Punisher ripoff and considered lame by many, but I always liked him and had his original 4 issue mini seroad back in the 80s.

I love them and enjoy many different types and genres. Currently I am rereading Amazing Spiderman and Gi Joe from the beginning. Most of my reading gets done on the shitter.

Yep, used to collect them mostly marvel comics when I was younger, however, I stopped buying them ages ago. I love comic book movies, again mostly marvel, 2016 was a great year for CBM.
