I'm not terribly familiar with The Flash. He had a lot of tv stuff in and out of the Arrowverse, but I never watched any of it, because why should I? I'm here for Batman, bitch. But somehow, that weird cult leader they-pronoun Ezra Miller pulled it off. It lived up to the hype.

The movie takes heavy inspiration from the Flashpoint Paradox comic, in which Flash goes so fast that he travels back in time. It was a cool comic and animated film, utilizing Batman in a primary role, which is what this movie also does. SexBatman sells. Of course, that story has been told already, so we're fitting it into the Snyderverse for one last go before the new DCU takes over.

It makes for a good Flash origin story, even though it's definitely not a prequel. It's time travel, so it's actually a very fun butterfly effect movie with sincerity and jokes that actually land. It covers the accident, the trauma, all that. But Batman...

Ben Affleck actually has a good look for Batman & Bruce Wayne. He's in there for a few good scenes, but Michael Keaton is the one we're curious about. How does he factor into all this? Well, time isn't linear, and it takes some spaghetti to explain it. In a nutshell, he's from a skewed intersecting universe of sorts in which Flash seemingly landed.

He's still cool though, because "I'm Batman" - him. However, I'm thinking he's not necessarily the same one we saw in the Tim Burton movies, but the mansion is the same, the car and gadgets are the same, the batcave... I think that was different, but I'm a pathetic Batman fan since I can't tell you for certain. There's another Batman, but you'll find out about that later.

Supergirl and Zod are also in a chunk of this movie, and it shows you just how badly we needed a Henry Cavill to save us from that liberal loon Michael Shannon. Michael complained that his role is pretty shallow in this movie, and I'll agree. But he's there for some interesting Man of Steel nostalgia. Supergirl was well done, but pointless in the long run. I would do her.

It was a fun movie. People say the CGI is bad, but that's redundant. It didn't bother me, because I was high as fuck and eating hot dogs. The Flash was running at lightning speed though infinity, but he was also stealing and eating hot dogs, and that makes him a relatable character.

May God have mercy on Ezra Miller's soul.

From what I've heard and again from what I've heard cause I wouldn't pay to see this but the CGI is terrible, the Quicksilver scenes in the X-Men films are far superior. James Gunn and WB should have never announced the upcoming reboot cause now all these films are redundant. That's partially why Black Adam, Shazam, this and the upcoming Blue Beatle and Aquaman 2 have all and will continue to bomb...nobody gives a shit knowing a reboot is coming! This film is on pace to lose 200 million minimum from what I hear. Hey I'm glad you enjoyed yourself and found the price of admission worthy but there's no denying WB has completely screwed the pooch when it comes to the handling of their DC property for quite some time now.

WB is stupid, for sure.

Blue Beetle is rumored to be the first in Gunn's new verse, but who knows. Definitely not WB.

DC is still and will be owned by WB. James Gunn is just a hired gun to helm their reboot. I believe it's a move in the right direction but there's no denying history on WB's ability to fuck things up. For instance after The Rise of Skywalker, JJ Abrams contract with Disney ended and WB gave him a boatload of money to jump ship. JJ has been laughing all the way to the bank cause in 4 years everything he's proposed has been shot down cause WB finally figured he's a hack movie director that isn't worth investing 100s of millions of dollars in for a project. They've been paying him to not make anything! Nobody in the entertainment industry knows how to waste money and fuck things up worse than Warner Bros...Disney's catching up though.

Blue Beatle will not be a part of Gunn's reboot of the universe. It's a leftover like Aquaman 2. Looking at your title of this thread makes me think Batman Returns is probably the best Batman film ever made, The Dark Knight is a close 2nd but that's just like my opinion man!

Blue Beetle was made before the new DC plan, but they've already confirmed it will be the first in the new DC slate. I think it's a weird move, because they can't guarantee anyone will think highly of it. They put so much faith into The Flash and it "bombed", because nobody at WB knows what they're doing.

I already decided against watching Blue Beetle because the director had to make some stupid divisive political comments when he should've kept his stupid fucking mouth shut.

Separate the politics from the product.
Though if you can't and have an itching to watch men in tights prance around watch ballet or wrestling

the non-gay pastime, I never understood how it became associated with gay. Sure you have nuriyev etc but the ratio of women to men is like 10:1
