And everything that comes under the umbrella of paranormal like ghosts, extraterrestrial life, unidentified flying objects, unexplained phenomena, psychic abilities, conspiracy theories, haunted houses, demons, cryptids etc.. ?

I for one believe in all this stuff. I have a rather large collection of books from everything to U.F.Os/alien abductions to unexplained phenomena to conspiracy theories. A lot of people out there are (rightfully) sceptical, and might consider those who do believe to be weirdo's or something emoticon However, I really am fascinated by it all, and I feel there is just to many stories/reports/evidence out there for it to be all made up in my opinion.

As the tagline for The X-Files goes: "The Truth is Out There" ....

Anyone a believer?

Of course. It'd be ignorant to think otherwise.

Exactly, Bryan. I remember you talking about your experiences with ouija boards. I take it you haven't went near it since?

Nope, lol. Threw that shit right in the el trasho!

I saw a shadow person once when I was a teenager. Pretty sure I talked about that way back when on the old imdb boards.

I've been interested in the paranormal since I was a kid. Wouldn't say I believe every single story and piece of evidence. Some of it reeks of bullshit and has even been exposed as such. But when it comes to at least ghosts and UFOs, there's plenty of plausible stories and evidence.

The only thing I always have doubts about with UFOs is that aliens are responsible. Seems like everytime a sighting occurs where there's multiple witnesses with solid evidence, at least in the US, the military either offers up some explanation involving planes or they deny their involvement in the incident entirely. I think it's a reaction more in line with trying to hide the existence of experimental, top secret aircraft they're testing than trying to hide the existence of aliens. Ever heard of the Cash-Landrum Incident https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cash-Landrum_incident ? It's the UFO case that fascinates me the most.

The one area you listed that I have trouble believing in at all are cryptids. They can be fun to think about and discuss, but I've yet to see strong, undeniable evidence of Bigfoot or Nessie.

Glad to have another believer here!

I am pretty much like a Fox Mulder here. I am pretty open-minded to a lot of these things.

Yes, I heard of that case. I read a lot about Betty Cash and Vickie Landrum. The group of military helicopters that chased and later denied all involvement. The poor women suffered radiation exposure, and were never the same afterwards.

Have you ever heard about the Dulce base? It is pretty far-out, but one hell of a story. Philip Schneider, Thomas Costello and Paul Bennewitz all claimed to work there and all died in "strange circumstances" a few months later. It is extremely fascinating even you don;t believe it. I mean if all these people were talking bullshit - why would anyone want to silence them?

Here is an interesting read: called Liquidation Of The UFO Investigators. About the many that have died in strange circumstances.

I try to be open-minded. Like Mulder's UFO poster reads, I want to believe.

Betty Cash also passed away after 18 years to the day she was exposed. Coincidence? Maybe. Regardless, it's bizarre.

Never heard of that Dulce Base story, but even without knowing the details of their situations, it sounds like a case of someone trying to keep something a secret. Same goes for many of the deaths on that page you linked. Is that secret "grays" working with the US military? I'm still on the fence about that. However, I 100% believe that an agency or agencies connected to the US government murder people who get too close to revealing the government's secrets.

You're probably familiar with the investigative reporter Don Devereux, who if I remember correctly was trying to get information from the same Danny Casolaro mentioned on that page. Devereux's situation wasn't UFO related, but definitely US government murdering people related. He was even told there was a contract out on his life.

Extraterrestrials really ought to exist, in a universe as endless as this one is. Man would be mighty arrogant to believe he's the only sentient life form out there. I figure space travel and the great distances would be the only real issue here, and that's why it's mostly sci-fi at this point, but there's always the theory that we're the aliens on this planet, brought here eons ago. Or maybe Jesus was an alien, or concieved via alien tech. emoticon

Ghosts? I don't have much belief in that. As a kid, I was horrified by The Amityville Horror, and figured that ghosts are real, because my family always felt that the house we lived in back in the day was haunted, because a kid who lived there died, and some creepy things happened, but in retrospect, I figure we all had an over-active imagination, and I don't believe in ghosts, per se, but I still wouldn't be comfortably in an abandoned, creepy house. I might trick myself into believing in something... emoticon

No. I can't believe that people still believe in that ghost and psychic nonsense in our modern age of science. I do believe there is life on other planets, but I do not believe any of it has visited us.

I guess there will be aliens out there and there is possibly other galaxies than ours. But that doesn't interest me that much. Ghosts are more interesting to me because of the good horror stories and movies they can provide (but also a lot of shitty ones too lol). I'm sure there are ghosts I don't think the people having paranormal experiences are sucking it out of their thumbs. There will always be people doing it for attention just like there are probably ghost hunters that are crooks. Even the most successful magicians and psychics were sometimes crooks.

For me it is interesting from an entertainment point of view. On occasion I want to know more (such as the case treated in Conjuring 2) but I don't have the intention to go to deep into it. Somehow I think getting too obsessed with it might render me paranoic and really scared, as strange as it sounds.

No, not at all. And I always greatly enjoy seeing it debunked and the psychotic delusional uncivilized fools who do believe in it humiliated, made fun of and called out as evil and dangerous.

And I include any belief in mythical supreme beings like God, Jesus, Allah, Sedna, Thor, Zeus, etc. under the same umbrella, and equally hate and distrust anyone who follows them.

You hate them? That's a bit strong isn't it? I'm a Christian, so that means you hate me? Well damn... To each their own though. In all fairness, I have other Christians that don't like me because I'm not as strict as they are.

To answer the OP, yes I do believe in the paranormal. I've had too much stuff happen to me to not believe. It's always nice to encounter someone else who does believe.emoticon

I suppose hate isn't the right word. But to me religion of any kind is filth, shit, a scourge on the earth. I do feel people who follow it are morally corrupt, mentally inferior and untrustworthy. I do avoid them at all costs. I don't go around instigating fights or arguments with them, I just try to stay out of their way to avoid trouble. If they interfere with me, I tell them off usually in very colorful terms, purposely using the most offensive language I can think of. I feel the same about recreational drug users and any moron who believes that animals have rights.

So the whole point is, people just need to mind their own business and stay out of my life. If they can manage to do that, everything is fine. If they hassle me, there will be a hostile backlash.

I never push my religion on anyone. I know a lot of Christians that do, and I can't stand it. Hell, they push it on me because according to the ones I know I'm not Christian enough emoticon. I just can't bring myself to be like that.

Unfortunately that how the majority seems to be. I don't really care as long as they keep it to themselves. But I also know I'm not an easy person for people to like or tolerate.

They clearly shouldn't have the same rights as humans, but as living beings, I feel like they deserve a certain level of respect. Do you have issues with animals? Do you wish they were all dead?

No. I just see them as a resource, like anything else on this planet. If they were all dead nothing else would survive either.
