I watched "Anthopophagus" (1980) on youtube a few months ago. There were plenty of video nasties on there back then. Probably pretty tame by today's standards. I'm not sure it would be easy to find anything extreme from back then, especially on youtube. I hope I'm wrong though.

Thanx, Box. Seen Anthro. That movie is really quite frustrating. The kill scenes and gore are great, and George Eastman in make-up is a freakish sight, but the movie's got piss poor pacing. Absurd (or Horrible, or Monster Hunter, or whatever you wanna call it) fixes the pacing issues, but is lacking in any truly sick gore moments and nothing is done to make Eastman look imposing and creepy as he was in the first film. Kooky Italians.

I just watched Seven Bloodstained Orchids and Something Creeping in the Dark on YouTube recently. Both were from the 70s but pretty bloodless and nothing to rave about.
