Sure was a fast week.

My copy of Fox with a Velvet Tail came in the other day, so might just watch that tonight. Today at a flea market I picked up Black Rock, The Bye Bye Man and Hiss.

The Bye Bye Man sounds so stupid, I can't help but be curious about it. Let us know your thoughts.

I watched What Happened to Monday, a new netflix sci-fi movie where you can't have siblings in this over-populated world, or else they'll kill 'em! Noomi Rapace plays 7 characters, but there just wasn't enough Willem Dafoe in there...

Netflix also has Death Note, a remake of some asian-flick about a notebook that you can kill people with by writing their name in it. Then, it's some final-destination type kills, but it turns into something smarter than that. Again, not enough Willem Dafoe...

Last of the FTVs is The Green Mile. It's kind of like a Shawshank Redemption, part 2. Frank Durabont and Stephen King return for another prison period piece, but this one has a supernatural angle to it. For a three hour movie, it sure didn't feel it. I'd say it's on-par with Shawshank. Yakko, even if you hate Tom Hanks, everyone else in here gives a great performance. Worth a watch.

I finally got around to watching it last night and it is sort of stupid but I've seen worse. It has similarities to It Follows and The Babadook. I'm sure it had to be inspired at least partly by those. Had it been made several decades ago without all the things that ruin most movies and TV shows now, like excessive background noise and abrupt shifts in plot, I think it would have been better. The basic concept of something that keeps multiplying or getting transferred from one person to another with no way to stop it is a good idea. As it is, I'd say it's worth at least one view.

I've never heard of any of the people in it, or the writer or director. How did a veteran actress like Faye Dunaway ever end up in it?

I probably ought to see Green Mile. I did like The Mist and Shawshank Redemption.

Watched my trusty DVD of The Gumball Rally (1976) and saw The Hitman's Bodyguard at the theater. Me and my date were the only ones at the showing emoticon, everyone was there to see It.

It doesn't take itself seriously and if you enjoyed Deadpool like I did, you will like THB.

Human bodies taking unbelievable amounts of damage and wounds, with no serious harm or hindrances to their health. It's an action/relunctant buddy/comedy/road trip/romantic advice flick.

Just imagine Del Griffith and Neal Page as hired killers (well, one is a AAA rated dickhead "protection agent") and you've got the idea.

There are lots of funny bits, including one with a bus load of nuns.

Good songs too. Life is a highway and its mighty fucken' long. Full of twists and turns so ya know shits gonna go wrong. You can slip, you can slide, but you can't hide. Nooobody gets out alive
