Funny skit - liked the chimp girl. Actually the funniest bit was in the opening credits around three minutes: "Music by Stig Baasvik based on melodies originally whistled by Garth Marenghi." How's the other five episodes?

Darkplace is a brilliant show. I wish they made a hundred episodes.
The best line ever:

LIZ: "And Sanch?"
SANCHEZ: "Yes Liz?"
LIZ: "Thanks for the labotomy."
SANCHEZ: "Not a problem."

Even out of context that's funny. I'm bookmarking them for later consumption.

Tho it eventually gained a cult following, the initial ratings for Darkplace were terrible, so Channel 4 didn't renew. Matthew Holness & Ricahrd Ayode appear in a spin off 'Man to Man with Dean Lerner' that had one series back in 2006.

If you've not already had the pleasure, there's a dvd commentary on all 6 original Darkplace eps where the actors commentate in character - Sanchez is getting wasted throughout. I'd highly rec seeking it out
